Warming Up – Ready, Set, Go!

The “Bake the Cake” Floor Workout
-
The Glute Bridge – Lie on your back, bend your knees, and lift your hips towards the ceiling. Squeeze those glutes at the top and lower back down. Repeat for 15 reps.
-
Donkey Kicks – Get on all fours, keeping your back flat. Kick one leg back behind you, focusing on squeezing the glutes. Alternate legs for 12 reps per side.
-
Fire Hydrants – Staying in the same position, lift one knee out to the side, keeping the 90-degree angle. Feel the burn in those outer glutes! Do 12 reps on each leg.
-
Rainbow Leg Lifts – Lie on your side with legs straight. Lift the top leg in a rainbow arc motion while engaging your glutes. Do 12 reps on each side.
-
Squat Pulses – Stand up and get into a squat position. Pulse up and down, keeping the tension on those glutes. Aim for 20 pulses.
Cooling Down and Stretching
Whew! You’ve rocked that “Bake the Cake” floor workout. Now it’s time to cool down and show your muscles some love. Spend a few minutes stretching out those glutes, hamstrings, and quads to prevent soreness.
